I live a block away from this coffee shop, used to be a daily Starbucks kind of girl until I moved to manhattan, the Starbucks here are usually overcrowded with the morning rush hour, the people there are rude, have no patience, and on a mission to move you in and out. Most New Yorkers want that kind of service and on that rush. Being a Californian, I naturally am enjoying the present and on my own timeline.
Coming to Frenchy is now a part of my daily routine, the staff are all so friendly. I love seeing familiar faces and being greeted warmly.
The food is SO good, I don't know who is the baker in the back but their pastries are yummy. They change it up sometimes and have new items such as this moment I'm eating a quiche.
They have a wide variety of milks... I change it up every so often and they constantly try to guess. :)
I love it here and always will support them over the mass chain coffee places. Come check them out! -

They're super nice, the coffee is decent, the pastries are ok but not amazing. The place is a nice space to hang out in too and I believe it has free WiFi.
However, it's somewhat overpriced for what it is. The ham, egg, and cheese sandwiches are good and used to be a decently size. They were slightly overpriced then. But now theyre tiny and still the same price. Also, service can be pretty slow. -

EXPERIENCE...
1. Sampled Ice Coffee:
-pleasant sour citrus, roasty, smooth with a short lived bitterness, no strong after taste.
2. Ordered ice coffee w. splash of hemp milk:
- most of the original personality of coffee is still present with its sour citrus flavor really shining through.
SERVICE...
Excellent! Kelvin the barista was welcoming and honored my request for a sample. He was even put ice in the mini sample for the full effect. It was really nice of him. Thank you Kelvin!
RECOMMENDATIONS

A spacious, well lit cafe with easy going non-pretentious vibes! What a gem in the neighborhood. The rave is true, the coffee is strong and the almond croissant was one of the best I've had. They spread the almond spread in between a sliced croissant, which I prefer over the usual croissant which has a concentrated ball of cream pumped inside.
Came in here on a Friday morning to do some work, and while the music is kind of distracting (bring headphones or earplugs), there's a few outlets and tables definitely suitable for work. It's not a crowded cafe, but there's always people coming in every few minutes. It seems like half of them are locals because they chat up the baristas easily.
The baristas and baker are so friendly and courteous! Overall such a friendly neighborhood cafe here in East Harlem. Will definitely be back! -

In-house baker who makes the BEST PASTRIES.
Croissants. Muffins. Danishes. Drooling.
Solid coffee.
Good place to study/work if you can snag a table.
Constant stream of customers tells you how good this place is.
